HOW DOES IT WORK?: Mycorrhizae must make contact with the roots to be effective. Never top dress with any mycorrhizae! Granular mycorrhizae needs to be applied to the planting hole, and the root ball needs to be placed in direct contact with the granular product. If it's a powder, simply mix the powder with water and drench the soil, allowing the mycorrhizae to reach the root zone and start working.
